The Macedonian U16 team lost the match against Montenegro with 3:1 at the second qualifying match that was played by the two teams in Bar.

Jani Atanasov scored a lead at 50’ which led us to believe that we will repeat the previous 1:0 winning result for our team at the match in Podgorica. Tanevski had a great chance to create a bigger lead for our team, but failed to score. There was a complete twist in the game when the Montenegro team scored 3 goals in 10 minutes. Montenegro won the game with the goals scored by Hot Mirza in 69’. Kumburovikj Nikola in 74’ and Cavarkapa Novica in 79’.

Vujadin Stanojkovikj, the Macedonian team coach, started the match with the following players: 

Hristijan Stevkovski, Metodij Gjorgjichov, Mihail Manevski, Antonio Mitrev, Andrej Kirovski, Filip Jovanovski, (Vasko Trajkov), Hristijan Delevski, (Sefo Altin), Elmaz Elif, Jani Atanasov, (Dejan Markovski), Hristijan Trapanovski and Boban Zdravevski.

With a lead of 1:0 we had some great chances to score more shots, but unfortunately we were unsuccessful. By the end of the match, our players lost their focus, the team from Montenegro took advantage of that and scored 3 goals in 10 minutes. I hope that in the future we will improve our game a have better results.”-stated the Macedonian team coach Vujadin Stanojkovikj.
