The refereeing organization at the FFM was subjected to regular control last week for the implementation and realization of the obligations of the UEFA Referees Convention. The control was carried out by UEFA representatives, Katja Senesi and Leonid Kaloshin, who during the visit conducted a thorough analysis of all segments of the functioning of the refereeing organization within the Football Federation of Macedonia.

UEFA representatives had a working meeting with the President of the FFM, Masar Omeragić, who presented the visions and new methods of work, generally in the FFM, but also with an emphasis on the refereeing organization and the start of the implementation of the VAR system in Macedonian football.

The meeting was productive and served as an opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas for further improvement of the refereeing system, and the impressions of the UEFA representatives were more than positive.

Additionally, as part of the detailed review, separate interviews were held with several representatives of the refereeing organization, including the President of the Referees Committee, a referee instructor, a mentor and talent controller, a young promising referee, a female referee, a futsal referee, representatives of the refereeing department and the VAR project leader. These interviews allowed for a detailed evaluation of the processes, standards and methodological approach applied in the refereeing of matches.

The preliminary report that was announced as a conclusion of the regular supervision was more than positive, which further confirms the compliance of the Refereeing Organization with the high refereeing standards of UEFA. Representatives of the European football house emphasized that the organization not only respects the principles and guidelines of the Refereeing Convention, but also that it is implemented in the most efficient, effective, coordinated, operational and productive manner.

The Football Federation of Macedonia and the Refereeing Organization remain firmly committed to the continuous development, improvement of standards and the introduction of new technologies and methodologies in refereeing.
