The president of the Football Federation of Macedonia, Muamed Sejdini, was today at the European House of Football in Nyon (Switzerland) at the invitation of the first person of UEFA. The physical attack on our president and the latest events in our country were the reason for an emergency meeting to be convened by UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin right after the match with Armenia, and after receiving information from UEFA about political interference in the work of the Federation, which threatens its integrity .

President Sejdini first-hand and in detail informed the president of UEFA about the situation and UEFA expressed strong support for the protection of FFM and its integrity.

Earlier (yesterday), UEFA and FIFA jointly sent a written letter to the FFM requesting a meeting with government officials as soon as possible. FFM immediately forwarded this letter to the government of the Republic of Macedonia in anticipation of an appointment for the requested meeting.

UEFA and FIFA are steadfast in their intention to maintain the integrity of football and the federation.

The President of UEFA, Aleksandar Čeferin expressed his sincere congratulations for the exceptional first place of the Macedonian football team in Group C in the League of Nations with wishes for further successes and achievements.
