The General Secretary of FFM, Filip Popovski, and the Mayor of Strumica, Zoran Zaev, were both present at the grand opening of the field to the public. The funds for the construction of the artificial turf were donated by the Football Federation of Macedonia, which as a part of the UEFA Hat-Trick Program has constructed artificial turfs in 10 municipalities in Macedonia.

The Mayor of Strumica, Zoran Zaev stated that he is very happy that Strumica is a part of this important project and will fully complete the obligation by the municipality in finalizing the second phase of this mutual investment, which means finalizing the construction of new stand with 200 seats, as well as the construction of new changing rooms and official premises.

-“Strumica has always been a football city. Many football stars on an international level come from Strumica. Although at the moment football in Strumica is in stagnation, we hope that these types of projects and investments will lead to the development of young players that will be a part of the Macedonian National Team in the future.”- stated the Mayor of Strumica.

-“The Football Federation of Macedonia with the use of the funds of the UEFA Hat-Trick 4 program has worked intensively on improving the football infrastructure, which confirms the commitment to improve the conditions for the development of football at all levels in all regions in Macedonia. Only with dedicated and thorough work in all areas of the game of football we can expect real progress in the future.” - stated the General Secretary of FFM, Filip Popovski.
