Today in the "House of Football" a workshop was held in which the new program for development of school football in the whole country was promoted.

Thirty regional coordinators, directly involved as representatives of the School Sports Federation, were present at the presentation of the new program.

The school football project envisages active inclusion of 76 primary schools from all over Macedonia, with the participation of nearly 5000 children from second to fifth grade, among whom at least 1000 are girls.

At the presentation, the technical director of the young national teams in FFM, Zoran Stratev, had his speech, emphasizing the importance of school football as a basis for future direct involvement of young people in football, but also personal development.

"We are really glad that after a break of almost two years due to the pandemic, football is back in schools. This project is a very important segment for the development and discovery of new young players. School football is the basis for the involvement of children in football in general. Clubs can also benefit from this type of project.Through the project and of course the matches that will be played, the clubs have the opportunity to select future potential players in their generations. This is a way to try to impose on children the real sports, but also life values.

"We live in an age of modern technology, of course we can not completely, but at least reduce the time that children spend in front of computers and phones."

The program was presented by Bojan Markoski, responsible for grassroots activities in the federation, and the Secretary General of FUSM shared the organizational aspects of the program, which will be implemented from March to May.

The President of the FFM Basic Football Commission, Marjan Stojkoski, donated more than 450 soccer balls to the schools involved in the project.
