At friendly football matches in Skopje, children with a message for a fairer and more inclusive society

As part of the partnership between the Football Federation of Macedonia and UNICEF, at the friendly football matches between the Macedonian A national team and Finland (November 17) and Macedonia and Azerbaijan (November 20), the children accompanying the football players will wear t-shirts on the occasion of World Children's Day with a message for a fairer and more inclusive society.

This is the first activity that UNICEF and the Football Federation of Macedonia are organizing as part of the joint campaign to mark World Children's Day and promote children's rights. The slogan "We are all one team" is a call to all, to unite for children's rights.

World Children's Day, is  celebrated every year on November 20, highlights the most important issues affecting children's lives and supports the participation of children and young people as advocates of their own rights. This year, World Children's Day falls on the same day as the official start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, thus providing a rare opportunity to put children's issues at the top of the global agenda.

In our country, the World Children's Day campaign will culminate on November 21 with a football match where children will "take the field" and play with football players from the national team, football players from the Special Olympics, and seniuor officials. This football match will focus attention on issues that matter to children - equal opportunities, quality education, a healthy environment and mental health for every child.
