The President of the Football Federation of Macedonia, Muamed Sejdini at today's Regular General Assembly of the federation expressed satisfaction with the work of the past year, emphasizing that honest and motivated work is key to the greatest success, and that is the direction for the future.

The first man of the Macedonian football emphasized that it is not possible to constantly live old glory, or from the placement at the European Championship, he says that the federation must progress every day.

- If some life destinies were not cruel, after all the results achieved in 2021, this Assembly could have been held in a festive atmosphere.

I am proud of the results achieved by the Football Federation of Macedonia. Thanks to everyone, it is the product of our joint work.

Without wishing to repeat and enumerate the successful moments from last year, I would still like to take this opportunity to congratulate the players and the selector of the Macedonian A national team for the placement in the World Cup qualifier.

It is a success that every football player, coach and administrator in our football can be proud of. I wish success against Italy on March 24th. Be brave and challenge the European champion. You have our support for everything else.

I would like to wish success and luck to the Macedonian national team under 21 and to the coach Kanatlarovski in continuation of the qualifications for the European Championship. We have a good opportunity to fight for a high ranking and I hope we will be able to use it.

Of course, the goals we have set in the competitions in which the junior national teams participate have the full support from the federation in order to achieve them.

You know that I am directly acquainted with the situation in all football centers in our country. As before, I will continue to be an operative on the field, because I think it is extremely important for better football. But I am aware that I can not do it alone, but only with the help and support of co-workers, but also the people from the football base which must be the foundation of everything.

That should be a common goal for everyone in the big football family. And for those who perform the most responsible functions, and also for the volunteers and enthusiasts in the clubs.

We have a plan and program and we go step by step. Our goal is to continue investing in infrastructure, but also to encourage local government to get involved in helping clubs, to be partners.

The general strategy "United from football" must be a key document that should answer in which direction we are moving and how to put ourselves in front of the challenges that are coming to us. We can not live forever on the old glory and the placement in the European Championship. Day by day we must strive to raise the quality of work of the federation at all levels and in all segments.

We are working on many projects, on a more competitive First League, on a single Second League, and in the future on the lower categories and women's football.

We want to help in the part of commercial activities, as well as in the financing of the leagues, and of course the clubs need help as well. We have already realized many things, especially in terms of stadium infrastructure, and I hope that this and 2023 we will do much more for Macedonian football.

The Football Federation of Macedonia is behind numerous competitions for seniors, youth, children, women and futsal players. Through hundreds of matches every weekend we try to maintain football as the most massive sport in the country. We will always be a service to the clubs and full support when it comes to football.

We are glad that we have the potential for new great things for our football. I believe that the work program and the financial plan are well designed and will follow the federation in terms of goals and what should and can be done.

I will take this opportunity to thank UEFA President Alexander Cheferin for the excellent cooperation. The help from UEFA and FIFA is very important to us and we simply have to use the time when small federations like ours receive a lot of attention and support from the highest football institutions in the world.

My heartfelt thanks to all of you, members of the Assembly of the Football Federation of Macedonia and the members of the Executive Board.

Of course, I express great respect for the work of all Municipal Football Associations, clubs, coaches, players, referees and football workers for their contribution to the success of Macedonian football.

In the end, I will say again, this federation confirmed that with honest and motivated work we have achieved the best results in the history of Macedonian football.

That is our direction for the future as well.
