The young Macedonian  national team U21 lost to Latvia in the control match played in Belek, Turkey.

The chosen ones of the head coach Dragi Kanatlarovski were convincingly defeated with 3:0.

In today's match, Christopher Rekis scored twice, and Artjoms Puzirevskis scored one goal.

In the first part, our young footballers had possession of the ball, they attacked, but they had no answer to the well-placed defense of Latvia. The opponent defended well throughout the entire 90 minutes and managed to make the most of our defensive mistakes. We had several good threats to the opponent's goal, but without realization. Luka Stankovski had the best opportunity for Macedonia in the first half, and Berat Kalkan threatened in the second half after Latvia's goal.

In the last minute of the first half, Puzirevskis took advantage of our carelessness in defense and managed to open the scoring.

Rekis scored in the 69th minute for 2:0. The same player made the final 3:0 in the 83rd minute.
