The Macedonian A national team is preparing for the qualifying match for EP 2024 against Ukraine on June 16 (Friday) at the National Arena "Todor Proeski" in Skopje.

The match against Ukraine was announced by the young representatives, Jovan Manev and Sefer Emini, before the afternoon training session of the Macedonian national team.

Jovan Manev:

"We have already entered the last stage of preparations for the match against Ukraine. They really don't expect very tough matches. We are optimistic, we will do our best to defeat the Ukrainians, we are focused on that game, but it will not be easy. We have great respect for the opponent, Ukraine is a talented and excellent team. They confirmed that in last night's friendly match against Germany.

"I believe that we, the younger ones, give additional impetus to our national team. Of course we have great respect for the more experienced. They are our great support. I believe that together we contribute to a better energy in the team. It is important to fulfill the tasks of the head coach. If we do it on the field, I am convinced that we will achieve a positive result."

Sefer Emini:

"It's an honor to be here, I try to give my best in every training. The national team is such that everyone has to give their best. We all have to be ready and wait for the coach's decision.

"First of all, we have to focus on the match against Ukraine, and only then think about England. A positive result in the first match will bring more faith and confidence before the trip to Manchester. The goal is to play the best possible game and win, but football is unpredictable. "If you're not 200 percent focused, anyone can spoil your plans."
