One of the legendary Macedonian football players and former striker of Pelister Bitola, Partizan (Serbia), Barnsley (England), Dunfermline (Scotland), Den Bosch (Netherlands)... will be responsible for the work and development of the youth national teams and the football academy within the federation. Gjorgi Hristov holds a PRO coaching license and has been involved in the work of club football in Macedonia for many years.
Gjorgji Hristov - Technical Director at FFM:
- “The position of Technical Director at FFM is an honor for me, but at the same time a great obligation.
The future of Macedonian football is in the youth, and we need to understand that in the true sense of the word.
We know how the youth teams, and especially the academy, were treated in the past. Our intention is to change that, to focus on the youth.
In the program of the new president of the FFM, youth teams are one of the top priorities. Together we will try to realize that.
In a conversation with Omeragić and Pandev, we concluded that there is a big "hole" from that famous generation that qualified for the European Youth Championship and we must try to change that.
The education of the coaching staff and the logistics surrounding the youth teams will undergo major changes, and that will bring us results in the future. I am sure of that.
