Last week, FIFA's regional technical consultant, Caroline Brown, visited the Football Federation of Macedonia. It was talked about the goals according to the strategic plan of the FFM, and in the direction of the partition, talents development, the football academies of the FFM, the grassroots activities, the differences of the women's football competition, the sports personnel.
During the several-day visit, Brown had the opportunity to have meetings and consultations with the technical director of the federation Zoran Stratev, with the manager of the football sector Zharko Ignatovski, as well as with the general secretary Filip Popovski.
We believe that the support of FIFA by football experts and the exchange of experiences is always welcomed. It will help us in improving the processes, especially in the area of development of coaches, identification of talents during the selective events, improvement of the management of the academies. - Zarko Ignjatovski, manager of the football sector of FFM.
The visit included consultations and working meetings with those responsible for the development of women's football, coaching education and grassroots. We had the opportunity to learn more about certain areas in which we can make visible progress. I believe that youth football, grassroots and the development of women's football are currently our priorities for their improvement and strengthening .We also applied to participate as a pilot association in FIFA's research on the development of amateur football.
