The Football Federation of Macedonia conducted the annual seminar for doctors and physiotherapists on the topic "Emergency Conditions and Trauma in Football".
The event was attended by team doctors and physiotherapists from the national teams, as well as club doctors and physiotherapists from the First and Second MFL and the First Women's Football League.
Organized by the Medical and Anti-Doping Department and supported by UEFA, the medical workshop was held on 25 and 26 January 2025 at the Hilton Hotel and aimed to present team and club doctors and physiotherapists with the latest knowledge and techniques related to urgent medical conditions in football.
The morning sessions were dedicated to essential topics and offered the theoretical knowledge necessary for any medical professional to be well-prepared to deal with a range of critical situations, including formulating emergency action plans, conducting initial assessments of injured players, resolving sudden cardiac arrest incidents on the field, and practical demonstrations of emergency procedures on the field.
Lectures in the field of traumatology were given by Dr. Mihajlo Ivanovski, Dr. Aleksandar Mileski and Dr. Nebojša Nastov, while training in basic and advanced life support and early resuscitation and rapid defibrillation was given by Dr. Azbi Agushi and Dr. Igor Nedelkovski. A briefing on field emergencies was also given by Dr. Nevzat Jonuzi.
