Unsuspected hart attack is one of the main reasons for dead among football players and the regular check ups of the heart and the sudden cardiac arrest is perhaps one of the leading causes of death among football players on the field, and regular heart examinations and appropriate first aid measures (such as immediate resuscitation and use of a defibrillator) can help prevent death from heart problems.

FIFA uses its own sudden death register, and a few years ago it also launched a sudden cardiac arrest campaign to improve the level of first aid education among footballers and football fans in stadiums.

The main steps that FIFA mandates in the campaign to prevent sudden cardiac death on the field - primarily educational programs on resuscitation and the use of defibrillators among doctors, coaches and players, activities that are continuously carried out by the FFM Medicine and Anti-Doping Commission.

Our federation has been working for many years on the best possible education of our football doctors and staff for resuscitation and emergency intervention.

All doctors who are members of the Macedonian national teams regularly undergo resuscitation training, and the medicine and anti-doping commission advocates mandatory and regular examinations for professional and young players.

The Football Federation of Macedonia, with the aim of improving the conditions in that part and taking care of the health of the football players and participants in the MFL matches, donated defibrillators for all teams from the FIRST MFL.
