At the draw in Zurich, the Macedonian A national team got the opponents in the group for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Our best selection is in a group with Belgium, Wales, Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein. The coach of the Macedonian national team, Blagoja Milevski, believes that the group brings hope for his team and if we maintain the energy and positive spirit from the last matches of the League of Nations, we can hope for good results.

We have a group of teams that we can play with and hope for a good ranking.

Belgium is a big favorite. One of the strongest teams in the world and it will be a big surprise if they do not manage to win first place in this competition.

Wales is a great team, a team that plays dynamic and fast football. Of course, they enter with their own calculations for the final ranking in the group, but I am convinced that we can compete in the right way.

Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein may not have had positive results in the recent period, but every new beginning is a new hope for the relatively smaller teams in the group.

For me, it is important that we maintain the same approach as in the last matches of the League of Nations, strongly motivated to enter the qualifiers and to fight again for a result that can bring us the opportunity for a possible placement in a major competition.
