Blagoja Milevski: Macedonia is fighting for first place in the group

The head coach of Macedonia, Blagoja Milevski, has announced the list of footballers chosen to play for the upcoming two games against Latvia and Armenia on the away field from the groups in the League of Nations. On the list of 25 footballers, the debutant is the defensive footballer from Slovakia's Žilina, Andrej Stojčevski.

Blagoja Milevski - head coach of Macedonia:

"Regarding the list, unfortunately we again have some injuried footballers that were unplanned. Trapanovski will not play due to an injury on training. He will have to rest for four to six weeks. I hope Trajkovski will be ready and available to us. Unfortunately, Darko Velkovski does not have a club and I regret that he is not in the desired form. I'm not happy with Ellezi's status in the Bochum team. He is a professional and will do his best to establish himself at the club. We need such a player, he was with us in the past gatherings and of course we count on him in the future."

We have problems with the defense, especially with yellow cards, and that's why Stojcevski was called up to be part of the rotation. I hope the others will be healthy first of all, and then able to put themselves in the team's function. "At the moment, the most important thing for me is the health of the football players. We cannot talk about competitive form, we have been building the team for three years and we are not in a position to change every meeting. Those footballers who are called up are the best at the moment, regardless of form. They are always here for Macedonia and that is the most important thing."

"Four more matches await us, each of them is equally important. Now we are playing away with Latvia and Armenia. I am happy with the fact, and I hope it will remain so, that everything depends on us. Macedonia is wondering about the appearance of the table in this League of Nations. We will be satisfied if even after this gathering we are in the first place, where we are now."

After the first two rounds, Macedonia is the leader in the group with four points, ahead of Armenia and Latvia, who have three each.
