The Macedonian national football team beat Latvia 1:0 in the penultimate match of the League of Nations group stage and definitely confirmed the first place in the group and the placement in the better B league.

Blagoja Milevski's team did not score a leading goal in several half chances in the first half, but in the continuation the pressure towards the opponent's goal brought a result in the 57th minute, when Nikola Serafimov did a great job in the opponent's penalty area.

Our defender brought the lead, after our corner, and then an assist from Zajkov and set the final result, because until the end there were no changes and Macedonia reached another victory in its group.

Macedonia with 13 points is by far the first and in the next edition of the League of Nations, it will play in the better B League.

"I knew that this would be a different match than the one in Riga, but we reached the victory, although maybe we should have scored another goal to confirm it earlier. It is difficult for the attackers to come to the fore when you play against a team with such a dense defense."
