Our players didn’t play to everyone’s expectations, but it’s important to note that the Moldovans played an excellent game showing strength and fight during the entire match. Moldova started the match with a goal by Sergey Aleksandrov at 3’. Our best player Darko Rangotov received a red card in 16’, resulting in penalty that led to 2:0 scored by Maksim Aleksejev. The first half ended with a lead by 2 goals for Moldavia, with hopes that we will improve at the second half.
Our team players were outplayed from the beginning of the second half, Adrijan Micevski went head to head with the Moldovan goalkeeper in 23’ but failed to score. After a couple of missed shots by our team, the team captain Zoran Leveski scored at 33’ and lowered their lead with 2:1. Also in 33’ minute, Ferid Agushi made a mistake and the Moldovan team scored another goal which led to 3:1. Anton Smetanin took advantage of that mistake and scored the third goal for the Moldovan team in counter attack.
